• Third number (3 mm) - leg thickness.

Because both legs are equal (20 = 20), this is an equal-leg section. It is symmetrical and performs uniformly in both planes. If the legs differ, for example 40×25, the angle is unequal-leg and can be used where the load is asymmetrical.
