🏡 Where is 1.7 m PROM best used?
- Private homes and cottages: an excellent alternative to solid fences. You can see the street, passers-by can see the well-kept yard, but access is restricted. The 4 mm wire looks substantial.
- Warehouses and manufacturing facilities: perimeter fencing for businesses. The height is sufficient for perimeter monitoring, and the price is much lower than concrete fences.
- Public spaces: parks, squares and recreational sports areas.
⚠️ PROM (4 mm) versus ECO (3.5 mm)
At a height of 1.7 metres, the difference in wire thickness becomes critical.
- ECO (3.5 mm): at this height, it may flex in the wind or when touched.
- PROM (4.0 mm): with 4 stiffening ribs and thicker wire, the panel stands straight and firm. It is an investment in durability.
📦 Installation
- Posts: we recommend 60х40 mm (1.5-2.0 mm wall). Post length: 2500 mm (concrete 70-80 cm into the ground).
- Fasteners: at least 4 sets per post.
- Features: the panel has 30 mm spikes projecting from the top for extra climbing deterrence.
SteelStream tip: This is the best option for a private home. Plant thuja or shrubs along it to create a “green wall” supported by a sturdy steel base.
