16 mm steel round bar is medium-diameter hot-rolled long product used by machine shops to turn shafts, levers, and axles. For rotating parts at this cross-section, round bar is more suitable than square bar: machining allowance is minimal, and the finished part does not need its extra edges removed. Grades 20 and 45 structural steel are available for parts subject to load.
