⚙️ 25 mm steel round bar - bearing-seat shafts, rods, and axles
25 mm steel round bar is hot-rolled long product and one of the most common shaft diameters. Twenty-five millimetres is a widely used bearing-seat size, so this blank is often turned into shafts with journals for standard bearing assemblies. Grades 20 and 45 structural steel are available for demanding machining and hardening applications.
🏗️ Main applications:
- Bearing-seat shafts: journals for bearings with a 25 mm inner ring, made from grade 45 steel.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder rods: straight turned components for loaded applications.
- Wheel and roller axles: load-bearing rotating parts for machinery and equipment.
- Kingpins and hinge pins: connecting components in heavy-duty assemblies.
✅ Advantages of SteelStream products
We supply certified round bar in accordance with ДСТУ 4738 (the complete weight table and steel grades are available in the Technical documentation).
- Steel grade selection: grade 45 for bearing-seat shafts with hardening, and grades 20 and Ст3 as required, supplied with a heat certificate.
- Accurate weight: 3.850 kg per metre to the standard, or approximately 260 m per tonne.
- Ready for the chuck: a straight bar without twist, with a predictable allowance for machining the bearing seat.
