St1kp 6.0 mm wire rod is hot-rolled steel in coils to ГОСТ 30136-95. In a fastener workshop, this size has a clear role: 2–3 mm wire is drawn from 6 mm rod, then used by automatic machines to make construction nails and by weaving machines to produce chain-link mesh from thicker wire. Rimmed steel with low silicon content passes through the dies predictably, without work-hardening or breaking.
