⚙️ SAE 1006 Ø6.0 mm wire rod - feedstock for medium-diameter wire
6.0 mm SAE 1006 wire rod is hot-rolled steel in coils to ГОСТ 30136-95, with a carbon content no greater than 0.08%. It is the same highly ductile export-grade steel as 5.5 mm wire rod, but with more material in the cross-section. Wire manufacturers choose it when the finished product is a medium diameter and each unnecessary drawing pass reduces productivity.

- Galvanized wire: a soft base material for zinc-coated wire used in fencing and reinforcement.
