⚙️ St3ps/sp Ø5.5 mm wire rod - a bar used without further processing
St3ps/sp 5.5 mm wire rod is hot-rolled steel in coils to ГОСТ 30136-95. While softer grades are purchased for conversion into other products, St3 is chosen for use as supplied: its higher carbon content (0.14–0.22%) gives the rod the strength and springiness needed for assembly and welding applications without further processing.
🏗️ Main applications
- Assembly bars: loops, ties, retainers, and temporary fasteners on construction sites.
- Welded products: light grilles, frames, and brackets; St3 performs well in arc welding.
- Strong welded mesh: openings that deform less under load than mesh made from softer grades.
- General-purpose applications: guys, hangers, and clips, where springiness is an advantage.
✅ Advantages of SteelStream products
We supply wire rod to ГОСТ 30136-95. A complete table of masses for 5.5–14 mm, grades, and applications is available in the technical documentation.
- Structural strength: the same steel used to roll smooth reinforcing bar, supplied in coils at wire-rod prices.
- Kilometres without joints: a 1–1.5 t coil provides 5.3–8 km of rod; cut it to suit your needs without irregular offcuts.
- Accurate weight: each coil is weighed during loading.
