⚙️ G4S1 Ø5.5 mm wire rod - feedstock for welding consumables
G4S1 5.5 mm wire rod is hot-rolled steel in coils to ГОСТ 30136-95, intended for a demanding processing route: manufacturing welding wire and electrodes. The wire-rod steel literally becomes part of the weld, so a controlled low-carbon composition is a process requirement, not a marketing claim.
🏗️ Main applications
- Welding wire: feedstock for drawing wire for semi-automatic and automatic welding.
- Electrode production: cores for coated electrodes with a consistent heat chemistry.
- Special-purpose wire: processing routes where general grades do not meet impurity requirements.
- General-purpose drawing: G4S1 ductility also allows standard drawing when this grade is already available on site.
✅ Advantages of SteelStream products
We supply wire rod to ГОСТ 30136-95. A complete table of masses for 5.5–14 mm, grades, and applications is available in the technical documentation.
- Heat certificate: for welding applications, we provide documents showing the actual chemical composition of the batch.
- Kilometres without joints: a 1–1.5 t coil provides 5.3–8 km of rod for continuous drawing without welded joints in the feedstock.
- Accurate weight: each coil is weighed during loading.
