The IPE beam range from 240 to 450 mm is a heavy steel product category intended exclusively for major industrial, commercial, and infrastructure construction.
These profiles are not used in ordinary residential construction. They are intended for extreme loads, very long spans, and large steel frames. SteelStream’s entire range of heavy I-beams is supplied in imported high-strength S275 structural steel.

🏗️ Applications for heavy I-beams
- Bridges and flyovers: primary span systems for pedestrian and road bridges, and industrial pipeline flyovers.
- Multi-span floors: major floors in logistics hubs, shopping centres, and multi-storey car parks, allowing the number of internal support columns to be minimized.
- Industrial workshops: crane runways for heavy overhead cranes (10 tonnes and above) and primary support pylons for buildings.

- High section modulus: with web heights up to 45 cm and thick parallel flanges, these beams can resist substantial static and vibration loads.
- Higher-strength steel grade: European S275 steel, instead of standard Ст3, provides an additional 15% yield-strength reserve.
- Convenient bolted connections: parallel flange faces allow frames to be assembled with high-strength friction-grip bolts, avoiding complex and costly welding of heavy members at height.
